In the beginning of 2010, UKE Consult und Management GmbH (UCM) gained a consulting assignment for the development of the conceptual master plan for the Canton Hospital Aarau (KSA) in Switzerland.
KSA consists of more than 30 centers for diagnostics and treatment and has over 3,000 employees. Per annum, roundabout 23,000 inpatients and 330,000 outpatients are treated. KSA had an average of 576 acute care beds (2008).
KSA’s turnover was 406.6 million Swiss Francs (280 million €) in 2008. KSA’s net result was 6.6 million Swiss Francs in 2008 (approx. 4.5 million €). Compared to the previous year, the net result had increased by 4 million Swiss Francs.
