The Kantonsspital Bruderholz in Basel (KSB) has commissioned the UCM for validating its master plan.
The KSB is a 427-bed acute hospital with expanded basic service, which treated about 12,800 inpatient and approximately 80,000 outpatient cases in 2009. The KSB specializes in the areas of general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, internal medicine, and gynecology. The hospital also serves as a local supplier of rehabilitation medicine and acute geriatrics.
In 2009, the turnover of the Bruderholz hospital amounted to 144.7 million CHF, with a profit of 2.1 million CHF. This is an increase in operating income of approximately 3 million CHF compared to the previous year.
