Regionalspital Emmental

In mid-2011, the UCM was commissioned by the Regionalspital Emmental AG as part of a second opinion (project report) to assess and verify the structural and strategic concept and the financial strategy of the existing master plan. The UCM further supports the Regionalspital Emmental AG in the structural redesign of exposed areas.
The Regionalspital Emmental AG, with its two sites in Burgdorf and Langnau, is a key health care player in the Emmental region. Collectively, the two sites have more than 160 beds and employ approximately 1,000 people, thereby guaranteeing basic medical care for approximately 130,000 inhabitants in the catchment area.
In 2010, the RSE treated 8,430 inpatients and 37,150 outpatients, generating a profit of CHF47,000.
